Administrative History	St. Peter's is an ancient parish church, originally serving the townships of Gayton and Heswall cum Oldfield. The Church of the Good Shepherd opened in 1901 as a chapel of ease. The Nautical Training School Chapel opened in 1915 and closed in 1956.
